I live in a 1947 era home with a sad, sad kitchen. I found these great kitchen storage ideas from the Re-nest website I mention earlier this week. On top of that, we have virtually everything to create these looks at Aurora Mills! Well, not the airplane food cart bins pictured on the Re-nest blog – not yet anyway! Maybe I can finally get that Beautiful-Big-Girl-Kitchen-of-My-Dreams-(while being sustainable)-Look!

Industrial Kitchen Island.
We have all the materials – barn wood, bowling alley flooring and metal machine bases – at Aurora Mills Architectural Salvage to build this island!

Repurposed Work Bench
We have a number of vintage and antique work benches that incorporate nice solid work space with storage.

Armoir Turned Pantry
I saw this photo in Martha Stewart’s Living Magazine years ago. It still works today. If not a wood armoir, use one of those great metal industrial cabinets.

What to do with those old library card filing systems? Turn them into storage!
I think this would work well for someone who knits or sews or does crafts. Lots of places to store all those little things!

Lego Table
Okay, we don’t sell Legos at Aurora Mills but I thought this was such a fun look. You could get really creative with the design. It would also make a cute nightstand in a childs room.
Here is the link to their blog. It has a few more ideas, like the airplane food cart bins I mentioned earlier. Enjoy! http://www.re-nest.com/re-nest/creative-reuse/20-creative-and-repurposed-kitchen-storage-ideas-110530
