The Koken company is well known to collectors and historians of the barber trade and this porcelain enamel and steel chair was made in its heydey. The chair has the “Koken St. Louis” hallmark on the footrest and a brass “Koken-Chisolm” tag on the back of the seat.
Condition notes: Leather upholstery is original, shows evidence of age/wear. The headrest is missing. Hydraulics are not functional on the chair lift, however, the pump arm is mobile. The chair swivels without any resistance.
