Draper’s tables were used in the textile manufacturing industry for both storage and construction of large swathes of fabric for draperies and other like applications. The lower storage shelf was used to hold bolts of fabric and the generous size was perfect for cutting and marking. This table has reeded columnar legs and a wood slat top with a beautiful alligatored finish. Late 19th century.
Note: One piece of trim is missing from an upper short top edge (show in images).
