A strange and interesting tile with a vignette of four children or cherubs engaged in the act of cooking up something over a cauldron on open flames. The glazing is a mottled mix of blues, greens,and browns. While the back is unmarked, the execution bears a distinct similarity to tile produced by manufacturers such as American Encaustic and Providential.
