Founded in 1839, the Corbin Russwin hardware company began manufacturing plate locks and quickly became a leader in providing hardware for commercial and institutional facilities. This matching brass Corbin door hardware set includes an ornate mortise lock, pair of door knobs, and two door plates. Emerging from the vernacular school, this Eastlake pattern was heavily utilized during the Victorian era. With an asymmetrical design featuring geometric and floral elements, this door hardware set would make an excellent and appropriate addition to a Victorian home. Ca. 1885.
