Founded in 1880 by J. Edward Hamilton in Two Rivers, WI, the Hamilton Manufacturing Co. is best known for their expansive work in printing and the manufacture of wood type. By the 1900’s, Hamilton was the largest manufacturer of wood type in the United States. The company grew and expanded its product line to include type cabinets and other furniture. This 7′ drafting table is just one example of the excellent craftsmanship Hamilton imbued in all their products. The incredibly sturdy cast iron base and tilting top makes this drafting table a statement piece.
