The Kenton Lock Manufacturing Company of Kenton, Ohio, specialized in locks. Soon after the company changed its name to Kenton Hardware Manufacturing Company, it was destroyed by a fire in 1903 but didn’t close its doors until 1912. This stunning pair of brass door knobs features the intricate repeating field or diaper pattern and demonstrates Kenton’s exceptional manufacturing. Ca. 1892. Sold as a pair.
