This 14″ brass and copper nautical spotlight was produced by the Sperry Gyroscope company, which operated primarily out of New York in the early 20th century. The company was founded by Elmer Ambrose Sperry to produce marine navigation instruments, but branched out into industrial and defense equipment with the outbreak of WWI. The spotlight sits atop a vintage cast iron machine base pillar manufactured by the Champion Blower company and while it is not part of the light’s original structure, serves as the perfect vintage stand to accent this fantastic lighting instrument.
Measures 17 x 16 x 58″.
